Seismic Shifts

Seismic Shifts - Have you stood at the edge of The Abyss?

What did your Richter scale register for 2023?

As 2023 comes to a close, I’m taking stock of how my life has shifted and wondering if you can relate to any of the wild rides I’ve taken since January brought you forward…

My Mom passed away just a year ago. And her passing launched me not only into the processing of grief, joys, memories, and questions that often arise with the death of a parent, but also into managing many months of fallout from a family member’s intense reaction to her absence.

My beloved horse, Manchi, changed roles completely due to his advanced age. Our years of exploring trails in the Colorado highlands and prairie shifted to his kicking back to a sedate life among other retired equine friends. It’s the bittersweet end of our treasured era of freedom and discovery.

I promised myself to be done writing and publishing my first book before the Holidays, and instead found myself needing to do three complete rewrites of its contents. That I didn’t quite reach my goal is frustrating, but trusting the process is my lesson.

As I move closer to completing my long career in education, I’ve cracked open an entirely new identity as an author, speaker, and transformational coach. With the help of my business besties and support from Hubby and friends, I’ve managed to not fling myself into the abyss while working all these angles at the same time.

Has your year contained some tremors and quakes as well? Might the ground seem to have split apart under you in places? Have you, too, held to what is solid with gratitude and counted your blessings for the abundance that surrounds you?

Let me know about your Seismic Shifts!

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
